Horwich Parish CE School is a two-form entry primary school and is one of the largest primary schools in Bolton. The main school building was built in 1832 and the school has many building additions. Many parts of the school have been recently refurbished and there are plans to do many more improvements.
Horwich Parish CE School has a long standing tradition of high sporting achievement with the following successful teams and clubs: Football (boys and girls) Rugby, Swimming, Athletics, Netball, Rounders and Cross-Country Running.
Other clubs offered by the school are: ICT Clubs, Golf, Homework, Sewing, Band and Choir.
We enjoy very strong links with our local Parish Church and its close proximity means we use the Church building very often for assemblies, concerts, productions and worship.
Our School Forum has over 200 members, using the school website to share ideas for homework, working collaboratively with each other and generally socialising outside of school time. Please feel free to have a look by click on the 'School Forum' button on the left hand side menu. The forum is monitored and moderated and requires registration.
The 'news' section is updated by our Friends and Grounds Commitee, so please keep yourself up to date with all that is happening within school.
